Hi, my name is Noel Young. I am an illustrator living and working in Minneapolis, MN, and a 2006 graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
I am a lazy artist. I get most of my ideas while I'm asleep or watching horror movies. I spend my free time getting these ideas down on paper, usually with ballpoint pens and acrylic paint.
I started painting in enamel when I was asked to try out for a freelance position at Z Vex Effects. I took to it quickly, and began doing custom pedal work as soon as the possibility was offered. I painted with Z Vex steadily for over a year; as a musician, it's been great to contribute to a company like Z Vex. It's something that everyone nerds out on, and that's inspiring.
Currently, I am still under contract with the company, and therefore unavailable for custom pedal work. I'm good at other things, too, though, so request me for your next illustration job!
I've done illustration and design for children's products, created character and environment concepts for animation, done some local rock show posters, exhibited paintings nationally, and I'm currently wrapping up a children's book.
